Cambodia.

Traveling to Southeast Asia is always a thrill for me. The nature is beautiful and the people very welcoming and friendly.
That also goes for Cambodia. However, despite improving conditions, Cambodia remains among one of the poorest countries in the world.
The recovery from decades of conflicts is still ongoing.

For this commission, I visited several SOS Children’s villages and FSP (family strengthening programs) whose work is done in and around the local communities.
The FSP work is aimed at the poorest families where parents are unable to pay for basic necessities, such as food, education and medicine.
Such children are at a much greater risk of being abandoned.
By giving the children food and free education and access to medical aid, SOS Children’s Villages and their partners are giving them a chance for a better life with improved living conditions.
